I hope this reaches you in time to help, and that your trip so far is going well.

As soon as I send this, I will go downstairs to Hongkong Bank and have them wire to your account an additional US $250. You know me, and know that I don't make idle pledges, so count on it now for re-wiring to Dandong for food purchases.

My dear friend and former colleague, Linda Clarke Broughton of San Lorenzo, California has just passed away from a long bout with cancer. In place of funeral flowers, it was her wish (and mine) that this money be put to better use---to help save lives, whether in the U.S. or elsewhere. This donation, then, is dedicated to her memory, and will hopefully help prevvent some North Koreans from dying---restoring to them the lustre in their eyes and vitality that Linda had when she was with us.
