Dear B. Poovaneswaran,

Thank you very much for your kind message and desire to help the starving people of North Korea. For the moment the only way we can help in this emergency is to bring in food and medicine to them. If you are able to establish some event, like a marathon where people might contribute small amounts or otherwise be a fund raiser, even if it is only $1 per student in your class, you will be helping someone stay alive longer. You could also write a letter to a newspaper and somehow speak up so that those who have the luck to consume three meals a day and have a roof over their head (and who live on an island) should not ignore those who do not enjoy those luxuries as "no man is an island."

All the best.

Bernard Krisher
