Subject: Query fron the situation of North-Korea

Dear Mr Krisher,

2.10.1997

In last May 1. conference in Brussels 38 communist parties made a decision
for the benefit of North-Korea in the situation when this country had lost
two crops successively because of big floods.=20

We, Communist Workers Party, Finland, have made also a decision to collect
money support for North-Korea. Now we wish to have information, how
collectig has gone. Have you any articles, photos etc. to send us. Because
of all donators want to know how their support will go to its target, we
must tell them precisely in which purposes money has gone. Would you send us
any photos from this benefit.=20

Especially we will know:

1. How we could send our money support?
2. What is exactly the target of this support? =20
3. How this food etc. will be send to North-Korea?
4. What is the best way to contact the comrades, who are in responsibility
on this support of 38 parties.=20

Thank you for your kind letter but I am not clear whether you have sent
funds to North Korea already and to whom, and if you wish to find out how
these funds were used, or whether you are about to collect funds and
distribute food and medicine there in the future.

On the former I cannot help you because I am not a representative of the
government and do not monitor *all* the donations.

I do monitor the donations which go through me, in most cases personally
distribute food and medicine, photograph and video such donations, receive
letters of acknowledgment and thanks for the large donors from the
designated authorities, and if the donation is really sizeable can likely
arrange for a representative of the donating organization to accompany me.
You will find documentation of the distribution of our donations on various
sections of my Home page.

I plan to go soon to Pyongyang again and am in the midst of collection
campaign.

I may also visit Germany in the latter part of November before my planned
trip to North Korea. If you could outline further to me what you have in
mind I would be pleased to cooperate with you to help the poor and hungry
and ill population in North Korea which depends on generous donors, such as
you.

I look forward to hearing further from you.

Warmest regards,

Bernard Krisher
