Subject: Re: drop-off points for blankets, etc., in California?

November 19, 1997

Dear Mr. Shawkey

Thank you very much for your kind letter. We are not collecting any goods
in kind, such as blankets, in the U.S. as it is too costly to ship from
there. The real need is food and medicine. It is most economical and
practical to buy these in nearby Asian countries and ship from there on
vessels provided by North Korea and then distributed by me directly to the
needy. If you are able to make a cash contribution toward this effort it
would be greatly appreciated.

Best regards,

Bernard Krisher

Dear Mr. Krisher, Thank you for the excellent work you're doing for the Korean people. Our family has contributed through World Vision's relief program, but I would like to know if there is a supply drop off spot anywhere near San Diego, California? I also was wondering where I might find the most recent update on how the relief effort is going in North Korea, and how the people are doing. Sincerely, Tiffany Shawkey jshawkey@123internet.com
